one on one TRAINING AND THEORY

Training as a race driver to win is not just about ‘putting in laps’… Instead, it’s about putting in quality and ever-improving track time with one-on-one coaching and constant input from our Champion trainers. We focus heavily on our driver’s skills and techniques to make great gains in driver ability instead of chasing physical horsepower (although our partner engine builders will also give you that!). Consistency is key no matter the weather or race track conditions and our Academy drivers are given the skills to be the best they can be in any race environment around the world.

RACECRAFT Coaching

Being able to do the perfect lap in practice conditions is one thing…. doing it in a Championship race alongside 30 other drivers around you is another. Learning the art of skilled racecraft within close quarters and wheel to wheel combat is the difference between standing on the top step and being left in the dust with your bags packed! Race starts, close combat, qualifying, overtaking, cut-backs, slipstreaming , defending, understanding race rules and race strategy are all aspects of our Academy training programmes and can only be taught by our very own expert Championship winning trainers.

DATA ANALYSIS AND error MONITORING

The nuances that lie between a driver’s input and the kart’s performance all lie in the data and telemetry. For what the eye can’t see on track and the fine tuning of a driver’s approach to the circuit, the onboard kart telemetry tells a big story and is a vital part of the learning driver’s arsenal. We encourage full data analysis after sessions to monitor and improve all aspects of a driver’s performance as well as developing the ideal engine, carburetion and chassis setup for changing conditions . Teaching our youngsters to understand telemetry data is vitally paramount.

TECHNICAL SETUP AND DEVELOPMENT

Fine tuning a kart for a well trained driver to extract every 1/10th of a second out of it… is a fine art . With so many variables that can drastically affect performance on a kart it is essential to have the right expertise around you. The ANGRi WORR Kart Academy race engineers are taking care of the oily things for you, we will always be constantly evolving the perfect setup for ever-changing track conditions and driving styles including engine building and development. Whilst driver skill is the most important factor in getting to the podium, a great performing kart is a must and our tech team make sure of that!

You can spot the ANGRi WORR Kart Academy Trainers in their hi-vis jackets ensuring every corner and racing line is mastered to perfection, every time. On-track ‘Live’ training with a trainer is also done for honing extreme racecraft.
With our comprehensive worldwide team network, our SA drivers have full access to comprehensive training and support at all European circuits and Bahrain. World-class training and support - worldwide!
With the ANGRi WORR Kart Academy session feedback sheets, our drivers and trainers log all specific session data, settings and environmentals. Drivers and Trainers work hand in hand for raceday success with our young drivers fully involved.
Karting has so much to offer kids turning 5 and upwards. We provide Intro / Novice driver training programmes and the best unbiased advice to get you safely up and running to start karting and become a future Champion at ANGRi WORR Kart Academy.
Hours of work go on behind the scenes to keep your kart equipment in race winning condition. We clean and service the karts ready for each and every practice or race day. Our Race prep is unrivalled! A clean well prepared kart - is a winning one!
Our Growth Division is the most important part of our Academy. We make racing spec FIA Homologated karts available for newcomers between 5 and 15 years to learn to drive and step into professional Karting with us.
ANGRi WORR Kart Academy is involved in many areas of motorsport with karting being the solid training ground to create future Saloon Car and F1 stars. We now offer full Academy training on our Cape Town main circuit to our drivers through ANGRiRacing
