WPMC / NATIONAL KARTING RACE DATES 2025

WPMC KARTING REGIONALS 2025

At Killarney Race circuit we are lucky enough to have Regional (Western Province) race days that cover both kart series in South Africa (Rotax and Rok). Our race days are jam-packed with incredible racing from the 5yo Bambinos up to the insane racers in the 6-speed KZ2 shifter classes.

Full WP Championship Titles are up for grabs when racing at Killarney as well as your Provincial Colours for motorsport… we are very lucky at WPMC! So if you are Rotax racer or a Rok karter, the same applies to everyone at WPMC and we have 8 wonderful Championship scoring race weekends to enjoy in 2025 (and a couple of Nationals this year).

Regional Race weekends usually comprise of (un)official practice on the Friday to get that final testing and tuning done, followed by Warmup, Qualifying and 3 full races on the Saturday. For Rotax racers, some of our Regionals also contribute points to their Rotax National Championship points (SARMC).

These dates are very provisional at this stage…..

SA KARTING NATIONALS 2025

In South Africa we have two National race series. Whilst the kart chassis are all the same in both series, the type of engine you use determines your ‘class’ and therefore also what overarching series you belong to.

We have the ROK National series and the Rotax National series with both catering for small youngsters from 5, all the way through to adult racers. Each have their own specific event dates and circuits they will run on and are typically 2-3 day events. Four National events make up a National Series. The winner of each class over the series usually qualifies to race in the ‘World Finals’ representing South Africa.

National Race weekends usually comprise of an (un)official practice day, followed by a day of Official Practice and Qualifying, and then warmup and 3 full races on race day.

Rotax also have the Rotax ‘African Open’ which is a one-off International, ‘winner takes all’ race with a chance to grab a ticket to the Rotax Grand Finals in each class (except Bambino)!
